Since the conflict began in Ukraine, the whole Dover community have been keen to show support in anyway possible. Macavis set up an appeal for donations; followed by our MD John and machine operative Julian, spending nearly two days on a round trip to the border of Poland & Ukraine delivering urgent supplies to those in need. Thanks to all our customers and locals who donated to our Ukraine appeal!
Macavis have sponsored a local boxer Luke Ransley in his journey from amateur to pro and will continue to do so. He is the next generation from Dover so couldn’t be better!
We have also sponsored local kart champion, Sean Berry for the past few years. Our financial support enables him to compete properly and get the results he deserves!
At Christmas we raised over £300 for local children hospice Demelza House
Our Easter raffle raised funds for Major Movements; a local charity supporting children in our community after the loss of a parent. They are running a Summer fete in June and we will also be providing them with generators.
We have also provided wheelbarrows for local school raffles and gifted aggregates for school garden projects!
We have sponsored a local boxing gym in Dover, White Cliffs Amateur Boxing Club. Where young children can go to clubs – our sister company Macavis Construction have also helped us by installing a new lintel to extend the current gym, allowing them to increase their potential!
We have sponsored a local boxing team in Dover, who run charity boxing matches to raise money for ongoing projects in Uganda.
We have done fundraising for the charity run Shepherdswell Preschool, raising £325.00 to help towards the running of the Preschool. In addition to this, we also sponsor the Preschool for events.
